Speaking on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, Davido described the similarity as “scary.” This heartfelt disclosure comes after the tragic loss of Ifeanyi, his first son with Chioma, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the young age of three.

Davido and Chioma welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl, in the United States in October 2023, marking a joyous occasion after a period of immense grief.
Reflecting on the impact of Ifeanyi’s passing, Davido shared, “That type of loss made me be like, ‘I’m out’. I am just going to chill, take care of my wife and the family, and get my head right.”
The arrival of the twins has been a significant blessing for the couple. Davido expressed his belief in divine intervention, stating, “To come back from that and be blessed with twins just shows that God is real.”
He further emphasized the remarkable likeness, saying, “And the boy looks just like my late son. It’s scary. It is like literally him. We are like, ‘No, it’s him. He came back.’”
This emotional revelation offers a glimpse into Davido’s journey of healing and the poignant connection he perceives between his late son and his new blessing.
