The prestigious certification confirms that the track has sold over one million units in the United States alone, through combined digital sales and streaming equivalents.

Released to critical acclaim, Sensational quickly rose through global charts and became a fan-favourite, praised for its smooth fusion of Afrobeats, R\&B, and pop.
With Chris Brown’s international appeal and the creative synergy between Davido and Lojay, the track cemented its place as a cross-continental hit.

The song also clinched major accolades at the 2024 NAACP Awards, bagging Best Duo, Group, or Collaboration Contemporary and Best Music Video, further solidifying its influence across the industry.
It was also nominated in the Outstanding Music Performance category.
In a show of star power, the trio—Davido, Lojay, and Chris Brown—performed Sensational live during Brown’s sold-out concert at South Africa’s FNB Stadium earlier this year, an event that drew massive crowds and electrified fans.
It’s more than a song; it’s a movement.
Fans and industry watchers alike have taken to social media to celebrate the achievement, with many praising Davido and Lojay for taking African music to new heights.
“It’s more than a song; it’s a movement,” one user tweeted. “They’ve just opened more doors for Afrobeats.”
Neither Davido nor Lojay has publicly commented on the platinum certification at the time of this report, but both artists have long been vocal about their goal to make Nigerian music a dominant force globally.
“Collaborations like this are proof of how far Afrobeats has come,” a fan wrote on X. “Davido Lojay earn RIAA platinum and that’s no small feat—this is history.”
