The Jigawa Hisbah command has arrested 30 commercial sex workers arrested alongside 18 men during a raid on Saturday.
According to reports, the arrested women have now been sentenced to three months in prison for prostitution.
The women were all sentenced to three months in prison after each of them pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against them.
The presiding judge, Sadam Habib, while delivering her judgement, also gave them a fine option of five thousand Naira each.
Recall it was reported that the Hisbah operatives who arrested the sex workers, also seized 37 cartons of alcohol at Gujungu market in Taura local government.
