A film by Vanessa Nzediegwu, a Los Angeles trained filmmaker, is about to hit the cinemas and we can’t keep quite about it.
The new release, What Lies Within, promises to be an interesting movie as it features the heavy weights in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, known for their dexterity and professionalism in the make belief industry.
The film has Tope Tedela, whose foray into professional acting began in 2006 when he was cast as Julian on Popular TV Drama, Edge of Paradise , as a student University of Lagos, Nigeria, as one of the actors.
He went on to feature in Niyi Towolawi’s Twisted and Super Story in 2007 and after a hiatus to complete his degree, he returned and has starred in films like A Mile From Home, A Soldier’s Story, Out of Luck, Surulere.
In 2017, he starred in the films King Invincible, Ojukokoro, Slow Country and will be seen in Catcher and the telenovella, Jemeji amongst other projects. He will also make his producing debut with the Drama-Thriller film, What Lies Within.
Tedela’s work has earned him several awards including the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) and Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA).
He has a Mass Communication degree from University of Lagos and enjoys playing guitar, tennis, traveling, reading and board games.
The film, What Lies Within, which hits the cinemas September 8, also has the versatile and multi talented Paul Utomi, Michelle Dede, Kiki Omeili and Ebele Okaro.
Others are Okey Uzoeshi Odenike, Ken Erics and Yaw.
It was directed by Vanessa Nzediegwu.
