The Ondo State House of Assembly today (Tuesday) impeached its Deputy Speaker, Iroju Ogundeji.
The Deputy Speaker who represents Odigbo Constituency II in the Assembly and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was fired by the House during plenary when 18 out of the 26 lawmakers had signed for his removal.
The signature was received by the Speaker of the House, Mr. Bamidele Oloyeloogun, during the session.
As at press time, the reason for Ogundeji’s impeachment could not be ascertained by our correspondent.
Meanwhile, Ogundeji has since been replaced with Bimbo Fajolu, who represents Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo state Constituency.
