The Police Detectives in Jesse Community, Ethiope West local government area of Delta State, on Thursday, foiled the attempt by some kidnap suspects to abduct a popular business woman in the area.
The police image maker in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, confirmed that the suspects were arrested inside a restaurant where they had laid siege for the business woman identified as Madam Ejiro Oghenovo. He said that two of the suspects arrested gave up the ghost after a gun duel with the police on their way to the station, adding that the victim had in January 2018 been kidnapped and was subsequently released unhurt.
Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen in Warri have killed a 59 year old tricycle rider identified as fine boy Tom. He was said to have been killed around Angle Park around Airport road, Warri, and his corpse dumped by roadside on Thursday night.
Aniamaka confirmed the incident, saying that no arrest had been made. Also, nemesis has caught up with an unrepentant criminals who were exposed by their shoes where they allegedly robbed a church leader.
