The global streaming platform unveiled the milestone as part of activities marking its fifth anniversary in the country, releasing a list of the top five most-streamed artists of all time in Nigeria.
Asake clinched the top spot, ahead of Wizkid in second place and Seyi Vibez in third. Afrobeats heavyweight Burna Boy ranked fourth, while Davido completed the top five.
Spotify also released the list of the most-streamed songs of all time in Nigeria, with Asake once again leading the charge. His track Remember secured the number one position.

Nigerian artists also made a strong showing on Spotify charts across Africa.

On Spotify Kenya, Ruger’s Asiwaju ranked first, followed by Ayra Starr’s Rush and Fireboy’s Bandana. Kenyan star Bien secured fourth place with Inauma, while Asake’s Lonely At The Top placed fifth.
In Ghana, Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck topped the all-time Spotify chart with Wotowoto Seasoning, featuring Ghanaian sensation Black Sherif. Asake’s Lonely At The Top came in second, while Black Sherif dominated the third, fourth and fifth positions with his own entries.
The rankings underscore the growing global influence of Afrobeats and the dominance of Nigerian artists in Africa’s streaming landscape.
