The Lagos state government has stated that former Oyo state governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi has died from complications from multiple organs as a result of complications from COVID-19 infection.
State Health Commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi, made this disclosure on his verified Twitter handle, despite expressing regret at the former governor’s death.
According to the commissioner, former governor Ajimobi died Thursday at First Cardiology Consultants, a private COVID-19 approved care facility in Lagos, after multiple organ failure due to COVID-19 infection.
