Nigerian Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold has dismissed widespread rumours claiming that he and his wife, singer Simirecently welcomed twins.
Speaking during a recent interview about his marriage and family life, the singer clarified that the reports circulating online were untrue, stressing that the couple currently has a son.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. It’s just internet rumours. We have a son,” Adekunle Gold stated.
The singer also opened up about their daughter’s growing passion for music, describing it as unsurprising given that both parents are accomplished songwriters. According to him, the child is already showing signs of musical talent.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for music as well,” he added.
The clarification comes months after the celebrity couple shared a viral pregnancy video in which Simi announced they were expecting their second child. The announcement later sparked speculation online that the pair had welcomed twins.
Fans have since reacted to Adekunle Gold’s comments, with many praising the couple’s strong family bond and their shared musical influence within the home.
