Adedimeji Lateef’s film “Wole Soyinka (Eni Ogun)”, based on Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka, releases in Nigerian cinemas on November 29.

 

 

Nollywood star Adedimeji Lateef has announced the nationwide release of his highly anticipated film, *Wole Soyinka (Eni Ogun)*, set to premiere in cinemas across Nigeria on 29th November.

The biographical film, directed by Joshua Ojo, delves into the life of Nobel Prize-winning playwright and activist Wole Soyinka, exploring his achievements, challenges, and lasting influence on Nigerian and global literature.

Wole Soyinka (Eni Ogun) features an impressive cast of renowned actors including Ibrahim Chatta, Femi Branch, Segun Arinze, Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Oshin, Feyikemi Niyi-Olayinka, Dele Odule, and Adeniran Makinde.

The line-up also includes Lemmy Okojie, Joke Muyiwa, Oyetoro Hafiz, Saeed Mohammed, Olaiya Igwe, and Olaiya Kayode, promising an engaging portrayal of Soyinka’s world and the notable people who have influenced his journey.

This is the second major biopic release of the year, following *Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti*, which premiered earlier in 2024.
