Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, a top All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Kwara State, visited Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the Government House on the evening of April 27, 2026. The meeting marked a significant step in Bolarinwa’s political journey as he formally informed the governor of his decision to contest the upcoming 2026 state governorship election, set to take place on April 28, 2026, in Ilorin.
Affectionately known as BOB by his supporters, Bolarinwa, a former chairman of the APC in Kwara, was warmly welcomed by the governor. The visit signals a new chapter in the political landscape of Kwara, with Bolarinwa emerging as one of the leading contenders for the APC’s governorship ticket.
As the election approaches, all eyes are on the former APC chairman, who is poised to make a strong run for the state’s top seat.
