Bayern Munich rising star Lennart Karl has sent a strong message to Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Both sides were active in domestic action over the weekend, with Real Madrid suffering a 2-1 defeat at Mallorca in LaLiga, while Bayern edged Freiburg 3-2 in the Bundesliga.
After the win over Freiburg, the 18-year-old Karl spoke about the upcoming Madrid showdown. “We have talked in the locker room about how this victory gives us a lot of confidence for the game in Madrid,” Karl told Mundo Deportivo. “It’s very important to have won. In fact, right now we feel unbeatable.”
Bayern Munich have been in stellar form this season, losing just twice across all competitions. Under Vincent Kompany, they currently top the Bundesliga table with a 9-point cushion over second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

With momentum on their side, Karl and Bayern will look to carry their Bundesliga confidence into Europe’s biggest stage.
