The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following the death of his mother.
Yilwatda visited El-Rufai at his Abuja residence to sympathise with him over the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a brief illness.
The visit is part of a wave of high-profile condolence calls by political figures who have continued to troop to the former governor’s residence to pay their respects.

Among those who had earlier visited are Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda; former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi; former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The outpouring of support highlights the extensive political network and alliances surrounding El-Rufai, as associates and allies rally around him in his moment of grief.
