Media Techniques Limited, publishers of City People Magazine, has issued a firm disclaimer over a misleading report circulating on an online platform operating under the name “The Ijebu City People.”
The management clarified that the publication in question falsely claimed that a diaspora group had rejected certain high-profile contenders for the Awujale stool. According to Media Techniques Limited, City People Magazine has no knowledge of, affiliation with, or connection to any platform known as The Ijebu City People.
In a categorical statement, the publishers also denied having any foreign correspondent or contributor named Ayoola Mustafa, contrary to claims made in the disputed report.

The report further alleged that it emanated from an association purportedly led by Omoba Remi Mosuro, referencing consultations across Europe, North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Media Techniques Limited stressed that such claims did not originate from City People Magazine and do not reflect its editorial standards, values, or position.
Describing the publication as false, misleading, and irresponsible, the management said it has completely disassociated City People Magazine from the report. Members of the public were urged to disregard the story and rely solely on information disseminated through the magazine’s verified and official platforms.
