The country’s judiciary confirmed the execution on Wednesday, stating that Vadi had been recruited by Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency and had passed on sensitive details about a scientist killed in the recent 12-day war.

“The sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court and carried out by hanging,” Iran’s Mizan Online reported, without revealing when Vadi was arrested or convicted.
The June conflict marked one of the most intense escalations between Iran and Israel in recent history.

Israel’s aerial campaign targeted senior military leaders, residential areas, and nuclear sites—killing dozens, including at least a dozen nuclear scientists.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks and vowed swift justice for anyone collaborating with Israel. Authorities have since arrested multiple suspects and carried out several executions related to espionage charges.
Iran executes alleged Israeli spy is a chilling reminder of the nation’s harsh response to intelligence breaches, particularly amid heightened regional tensions.
Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, continue to raise alarms about Iran’s high rate of capital punishment—second only to China.
