In a deeply emotional moment captured during a behind-the-scenes conversation on a movie set, Chatta explained how his baby girl was admitted to a hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos.

Despite his frantic efforts to raise funds, he was unable to secure the money in time to save her life.

“She was taken to the hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State. I trekked from Ijora Badia to Makoko, and I couldn’t get any money until she died,” he said, adding that the child was eventually buried in a wooden Coca-Cola crate due to a lack of proper burial means.

This heartbreaking admission came during a casual conversation with fellow crew members, later posted on YouTube by Abiola Orisile Events & Parties.

I watched my baby die because I couldn’t afford hospital bills  that pain has never left me.

The actor’s candid reflection has drawn a wave of support and sorrow from fans who were unaware of this painful part of his past.

“Malik is not my firstborn. My first child is a baby girl. I lost her because I couldn’t pay hospital bills,” Chatta said, pausing to compose himself before continuing.

The revelation has reignited discussions around healthcare access and affordability in Nigeria, particularly for struggling entertainers.

Despite his current success, Chatta’s story highlights the painful reality many Nigerians face in accessing basic healthcare when it matters most.
