Society of Digital Newspapers Owners of Nigeria, SDNON, has honored Group Chairman, Polak Nigeria Limited, CSF Financial Services and Executive Director Verdic Life Care Hospital Pius Olarewaju, with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Corporate Good Governance for his achievement in finance and investment.
The award presentation took place, Tuesday, February 8, at the Gbagada Lagos administrative office of POLAK Group, during a courtesy visit by a delegation of SDNON led by the General Secretary Seunmanuel Faleye.
Faleye, during the presentation eulogized the consistency and foresight of Mr Olarewaju, for building consistent institutions that has stood the test of time.
Faleye, also congratulated the chairman on the 30th and 20th anniversaries of Polak Nigeria Limited, and CSF Investments, respectively.
“I bring you greetings on behalf of every eminent members of SDNON, led by Otunba Femi Davies.
“At SDNON, we have kept tabs with your antecedents and we are pleased and impressed with your achievement through the years, particularly in finance, investment and healthcare.
“As a society comprising journalists of repute, SDNON carefully scrutinizes whom we award our lifetime achievement award is awarded; however, your track record and achievement through the years, distinguishes you, and make us want to be associated with you.
“We are assured that with this recognition from our society, you will be inspired to do more,” Faleye Submitted.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Olarewaju expressed his appreciation to SDNON, for considering him worthy of the honor.
“Although, I do not encourage people to give awards, as I try to run from such, as much as I can I, however, we cannot always avoid it.
“At Polak, we are focused on the good work that we do, and that is our biggest motivation,” he submitted.
