Youth from Odogbolu on Wednesday have disowned lawmaker representing Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu for what they call acts of betrayal and deceitful conduct using their community as the platform to actualise his governorship ambition and failed to identify with them.

The youth it was gathered were particularly unhappy that despite claiming that he is from Ijebu extraction, Adebutu votes in his Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Constituency, saying this is a political fraud calculated to deny Ijebu people the slot of Governorship.

Rather than transferring his voters’ registration to Odogbolu, Adebutu only claim Odogbolu in public while secretly holding firmly to his Iperu root. This, the youth considered is disdainful, disrespectful and an insult to the people of Odogbolu.

The youth therefore ban Adebutu from stepping on any soil of Odogbolu henceforth. They are particularly unhappy that after loosing to Senator Buruji Kashamu at the court, Adebutu has pitched tents with Governor Ibikunle Amosun (who abandoned Ijebu people and territories in all of eight years) to support the candidate of the APM, Abdulkadir Akinlade for the governorship of Ogun State.

“People like Adebutu should be banned in Ijebu land for displaying clear disdain for the interest and aspirations of the Ijebu people and should be stoned whenever and wherever seen on any Ijebu soil”, the youth added.
