It was a hot house at the Presidential Lodge today as APC Ogun State sought to arrive at consensus candidates for the house of representatives.
In what was a hot atmosphere that saw many protesting camps, six consensus candidates were arrived at out of the nine slots available.
However, three constituencies that defied consensus resolutions were told by governor Ibikunle Amosun to slug it out at the party’s direct primaries on September 29. The three constituencies that must now pick their candidates are Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Remo Federal Constituency and Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
As it is, each candidate in the above constituencies must now show how well they have related with the people in what will be a test of acceptance and popularity.
Recall that the Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun recently selected all the aspirants for all political posts for the forthcoming 2019 elections.
