The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting local talent and craftsmanship by celebrating creativity, innovation, and the beauty of leather designs at the three-day Lagos Leather Fair held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Declaring the fair open on Friday, the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering support for the vibrant creative minds whose ideas contribute significantly to the economic growth and development of Lagos State.
She noted that it is to the glory of God that Nigeria has now emerged as a notable exporter of quality leather goods in the global fashion industry.

The Commissioner also encouraged visitors and stakeholders to explore the finest leather products and innovative designs showcased at the fair, highlighting the potential of the sector to generate wealth and create jobs.
The convener of the Lagos Leather Fair and Founder of FemiHandbags, Mrs. Femi Olayebi, described the fair as a vibrant and inspiring showcase of Nigeria’s rich leather craftsmanship.

She emphasised that the event serves as a dynamic platform to nurture creativity, drive innovation, and promote economic growth within the leather industry.
“Visitors have the opportunity to discover new and exciting brands on the show floor while experiencing remarkable creativity and artistry.
