President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have paid glowing tribute to Enoch Adeboye on his 84th birthday, describing the revered cleric as “one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts” and a spiritual fortress who has consistently interceded for the nation.
In a heartfelt message celebrating the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the First Family praised Pastor Adeboye — fondly known as Daddy G.O. — for his humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
“Pastor Enoch Adeboye is one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty,” the presidential tribute read.

President Tinubu and his wife noted that Pastor Adeboye’s influence extends far beyond the pulpit, highlighting his contributions to philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment initiatives that have touched millions of lives both within and outside Nigeria.
They described his humility as genuine and his wisdom as profound, crediting his teachings over the past five decades with shaping generations and strengthening the country’s moral and spiritual foundation.

“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye as he marks his 84th birthday,” the statement added.
The First Family acknowledged the cleric’s consistent prayers for Nigeria, commending what they termed his patriotic zeal, steadfast determination, and dedication to national development.
They also recognised his leadership within the Christian community, noting that under his stewardship since 1981, the RCCG has grown into a global ministry with parishes in over 190 countries.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continues to bless him with good health and strength as he carries on his work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the President and First Lady stated.
The tribute joins a chorus of accolades from church members, Christian leaders, and admirers worldwide celebrating a man widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential spiritual leaders.
