Nigerian Afrobeats superstars Tems and Burna Boy have etched their names deeper into global music history, becoming the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing South African rock band Seether.
The milestone follows fresh appearances on J. Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off.
“Bounce Road Blues,” featuring Tems and Future, debuted at No. 34 on the U.S. Hot 100, while “Only You,” featuring Burna Boy, entered at No. 78.
The new entries push both artists to a total of eight Billboard Hot 100 appearances each — the highest by any African act.

With three Hot 100 entries already this year, Tems now leads as the African artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 appearances in 2026.
Earlier, she became the first African female artist to reach seven entries on the prestigious chart — a milestone that saw her tie with Burna Boy and Seether before now surpassing the latter.

Her steady rise underscores her growing dominance in global music and her increasing collaborations with top international acts.
Burna Boy has also achieved another historic first: he is now the first African artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years — from 2021 through 2026.
His charting records over the years include:
Loved By You (2021)
Last Last (2022)
Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II (2023)
Just Like Me and We Pray (2024)
WGFT (2025)
Only You (2026)
The achievement further cements Burna Boy’s reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent global hitmakers.
The latest milestone highlights Afrobeats’ continued expansion into mainstream American charts, with Nigerian artists increasingly shaping global pop culture.
As Tems and Burna Boy continue breaking barriers, their Billboard dominance signals a new era for African music on the world stage.
