Chief Olatunji Ajishomo Alabi
alias Lord Rumens died November 2008, he left a will and appointed Nigeria Bank Of Industry as trustees and executors to his will.

The very rich late businessman left gold bars , thousands of shares, houses on Rumens road Ikoyi, houses in Victoria island ,Makoko, Ebute-metta, Abeokuta and a flourishing company Carara Marble.

In 2012 the beneficiaries wrote BOI trustees to give audited financial reports of how the estate has been ran and managed since Lord Rumens’ demise.

We gathered that BOI trustee decided to cut off the benefits of the beneficiaries for asking them to give account.

In 2013 the beneficiaries filled a suit in Lagos high court asking for the financial state of their late father’s estate. The children of Lord Rumens accused BOI of negligence and fraud.

The Lagos high court gave several court rulings , arbitration and mediation awards in favour of the beneficiaries but it was not implemented by BOI trustees.

The children of Lord Rumens were shocked when they saw some of the late fathers property on sale which was not their late fathers wish and Carara Marble was also not functioning and had gone bankrupt .
Babatunde one of the son of Lord Rumens was arrested severally by different police divisions, he at a point was given a lot of harassment, intimidation and assault .

In June 2016, Farouk Gbolahan the eldest son of Lord Rumens died mysteriously and August 2016 Ademola the second child passed away mysteriously.

This continued over the years with a lot of efforts from the beneficiaries of lord Rumens estate all to no avail.

Babatunde Rumens after being picked up severally, got human rights injunction from, Lagos high court stating his rights not to be arrested by the police as the cases were in the Lagos high court also was disregarded.

Following a Lagos high court ruling in November 2018 by justice Salvage for all tenants in Lord Rumens estate not to pay rent in BOI account, Babatunde hasn’t been seen or heard from since December last year by his family and friends since last year.

The BOI trustee has since been collecting rent from tenants and running lord Rumens estate the way they want till date, Metronewsng investigation reveals.
