MetroNews NG has just gathered that over 40 #RevolutionNow Protesters have been arrested in Abuja and across Nigeria by Military Security Personnel,DSS,Police and other security outfits.
A convoy of over 50 vehicles loaded with heavily-armed security personnel were seen patrolling the Unity Fountain and Transcorp Junction areas of the city.
The Department of state security services, DSS, has arrested Olawale Bakare and several other #RevolutionNow protesters in Ondo state.
Bakare’s arrest is coming shortly after 40 protesters were arrested in Abuja by Military personnel. Bakare alongside several others had converged at the Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists located in Olaiya, Osogbo, to address the Press when the incident occurred.
The #RevolutionNow protest is a an event spearheaded by Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, demanding better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
