In a widely circulated TikTok video, Ms. Funmilayo Kuyeba, a trainee Assistant HR/Admin Officer, accused the Managing Director, Arc. Bimbo Fajemirokun, of physical assault.

She claimed she was pulled, slapped, and beaten by the MD. Management firmly denies the accusations, describing them as false and exaggerated.
“Arc. Bimbo Fajemirokun is a respected leader who values integrity and has maintained a track record of professional conduct,” a company spokesperson stated.

Witnesses, including the General Manager and other staff, confirmed that the alleged events did not occur as described by Ms. Kuyeba.
The hotel also addressed related claims by Ms. Abigail, a newly employed receptionist connected to Ms. Kuyeba.
Management clarified that Ms. Abigail abandoned her duties without notice and was never formally terminated.
She was removed from the company’s WhatsApp group due to non-attendance and was paid in full for the period she worked.
The hotel noted that Ms. Abigail has since joined her friend in promoting what management believes is a false narrative.
These actions, according to Royal Rex Hotel, seem intended to garner social media attention at the expense of the MD’s reputation.
“We reported the matter to the police immediately,” management explained. “We will allow law enforcement to complete a fair and thorough investigation.”
Despite the seriousness of the accusations, Royal Rex Hotel maintained a calm tone.
“We are deeply grateful to the individuals and institutions who reached out for clarity, especially our Gen Z and Gen X supporters who have avoided jumping to conclusions,” the statement read.
The MD, described as a private and disciplined man, operates multiple businesses with a significant number of female employees.
There has never been a prior report of misconduct or harassment. “All his years as an employer, he has never assaulted any staff, male or female,” said a senior manager.
The company further emphasised that it has not hired anyone to fight back online. “We choose to exercise restraint while the police investigate.”
As they await the outcome, the hotel reaffirmed its core mission: “To promote happiness and premium service in a safe, responsible environment where all employees feel secure and respected.”
In closing, Royal Rex Hotel expressed hope that both accusers will eventually “find light and recant their false narratives” before the law catches up with them.
