The immediate past First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, paid an emotional tribute to her late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi, on Thursday, as family, friends, and admirers gathered to mark what would have been her 43rd birthday.
Abisola, the eldest daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, passed away on March 27, 2025, in the United Kingdom after a battle with breast cancer. She was 42 years old and a devoted mother of three.
In her tribute, Mrs. Ajimobi reflected on her daughter’s life and legacy, describing her as a woman whose warmth, grace, and quiet strength touched countless lives. “Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Abisola Kola-Daisi on what would have been her birthday,” she said.

The former First Lady highlighted the qualities that defined Abisola—dignity, kindness, generosity of spirit, and a deep love for family and friends. “She carried herself with elegance and humility, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met,” Mrs. Ajimobi added.
Despite being born into a prominent political family, Abisola carved out her own identity through poise, humility, and genuine concern for others. “As the beloved daughter of Abiola and Florence Ajimobi, she was raised in a home built on service, compassion, and community. Yet beyond her family name, Abisola built a life of her own, defined by love and kindness,” Mrs. Ajimobi said.

Marking her posthumous birthday, the family chose to celebrate Abisola’s life and the legacy of generosity and warmth she left behind. “Her light may no longer shine among us physically, but it continues to glow brightly in our memories and in the lives she touched,” Mrs. Ajimobi said.
She concluded with a heartfelt message: “Happy Heavenly Birthday, Abisola. You are deeply loved, fondly remembered, and forever missed.”
