PEBEC business reforms in Zamfara took center stage at a one-day stakeholders’ town hall meeting in Gusau, organized to create a friendlier business environment and attract more investors to the state.

Speaking at the event, Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by Deputy Governor Malam Mani Malan Mummuni, highlighted economic reforms including amended business laws and the establishment of five small claims courts to speed up dispute resolution.

He noted that interventions in land administration, taxation, and incentives are already easing business operations.
Permanent Secretary Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau emphasized Zamfara’s abundant human and natural resources, expressing confidence that the right partnerships will unlock the state’s economic potential.

PEBEC’s State Focal Person, Alhaji Sani Bukkuyum, explained that the Council’s collaboration with Zamfara is designed to remove bureaucratic barriers and boost Nigeria’s ease of doing business ranking.
