The Ogun State Government has visited Nigerian TikToker Mirabel (@mirab351), who is currently hospitalised after alleging she was raped by a man in a video that quickly went viral on social media.
The visit was confirmed on Friday by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Adijat Adeleye.
She said the state has initiated a coordinated, multi-sectoral response to the alleged sexual assault, with Mirabel admitted to a state-owned health facility for comprehensive medical care, psychosocial support, and ongoing investigation.

“Mirabel has been responding positively to treatment. The hospital visit was conducted to assess her condition and ensure that appropriate medical and welfare interventions are being promptly provided,” Adeleye said.
She emphasised that the state’s structured approach aims to protect the survivor while ensuring investigations are professional, evidence-based, and conducted transparently.

Detailed examinations and all required clinical procedures are being carried out according to established standards for managing alleged sexual assault cases, while security agencies are conducting investigations simultaneously,” she added.
Adeleye assured the public that the welfare, dignity, and safety of survivors remain the administration’s top priority.
She reiterated that the Dapo Abiodun-led government maintains a zero-tolerance stance on sexual and gender-based violence but stressed the importance of due process.
“Investigations must be evidence-based, transparent, and fair to all parties.
Whoever is found culpable will face the full weight of the law,” she said.
The Commissioner commended the Ogun State Police Command for its swift action following the case’s transfer from Lagos State authorities and lauded the medical and justice teams for their prompt response.
She also urged the public to refrain from speculative or sensational commentary that could compromise the ongoing investigation, promising updates as credible findings emerge.
According to MetroNews Online, Mirabel alleged that she was attacked and raped by a male suspect who forcibly entered her apartment in Ogijo, Ogun State, on Sunday.
The allegation sparked widespread outrage on social media, with users demanding swift justice and stronger protection for survivors of sexual violence.
