Odunlade Adekola Father Burial was a deeply emotional and grand farewell as the beloved actor laid his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola, to rest in Otun Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Thursday, August 21.

The late cleric passed away in July at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of faith and service. His burial rites began with a Service of Songs on August 18 at Christ Apostolic Church, Abeokuta, followed by a wake-keeping and lying-in-state in Otun Ekiti.
The interment was a major event that brought together Nollywood celebrities, fans, and community members to honor the life of a man who not only raised a superstar but also served his congregation with devotion.
Among the Nollywood stars in attendance were Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao, and Ireti Osayemi, all of whom came to support Odunlade during this moment of loss.
“Rest on Dad,” Odunlade had earlier written in his Instagram post announcing the death in July, sparking a wave of condolences and prayers from fans and colleagues.
The ceremony was a reflection of both cultural reverence and public admiration, blending Christian rites with Yoruba traditions. Guests paid final tributes to Pastor Adekola, celebrating his life of faith, family, and service.
