Governor Abba Yusuf has dismissed the Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry, Shehu Wada Sagagi, with immediate effect.
The decision was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, who confirmed that Sagagi has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce without delay.
Despite the sudden removal, Governor Yusuf commended the former commissioner for his service to the state, acknowledging his contributions to political engagement, religious harmony, and the development of small and medium-scale enterprises.

He wished Sagagi success in his future endeavours and reassured residents of his administration’s commitment to effective governance and improved service delivery.
According to the statement, the move forms part of a broader strategy by the state government to reposition its structures for “systematic growth and sustainable development.”
