Known for his roles in Apple TV+’s The Morning Showand numerous television series, Marinelli reportedly died last Sunday, June 22, 2025, following a prolonged battle with throat and stomach cancer.

Popular American actor Joe Marinelli passes away at the age of 68.

His wife, Jean Marinelli, confirmed his passing to The Hollywood Reporter.
Fellow actor Mark Duplass, who worked with Marinelli on The Morning Show, shared a heartfelt tribute to his deceased colleague.
The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.

“We have lost a great one. Joe Marinelli lived in the rare air,” Duplass stated. “He was a generous performer, beautiful human, wide-eyed positivist. I will miss him dearly. I will try to live my life a bit more like his. We all should.”
Marinelli’s extensive career included memorable roles in popular soap operas such as General Hospital and Santa Barbara, where he notably portrayed the cross-dressing mobster Bunny Tagliatti.
