The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has scheduled the elections for July 12th, covering the 20 Local Governments (LGs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.

To ensure a peaceful and orderly process, a significant number of police operatives were deployed to the venue.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Moshood Jimoh, was personally on-site to monitor the security situation, both within and around the secretariat.

Operatives from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Security (DSS) were also present, along with officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
The committee had provided adequate security for all the participants.
As a result of the event, vehicular movement on the roads leading to the venue was restricted, causing traffic congestion on ACME Road and surrounding areas. Vehicles were diverted to alternative routes.
Hundreds of delegates from various council areas underwent screening and accreditation before entering the venue.
Before the commencement of the accreditation process, the Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee, Mr. Babatunde Ogala, addressed the media, urging them to provide fair and accurate reporting.
He assured that the committee had arranged adequate security for all participants. Ogala explained that the accreditation, initially scheduled for 9:00 am, was slightly delayed to accommodate delegates traveling from distant locations.
