Gov. Ortom sends message to Ayu, Suswam on birthdays

Governor Samuel Ortom, on behalf of the government and people of Benue State, has congratulated former Senate President, Dr Iyorchia Ayu and former Governor of the State, Senator Gabriel Torwua Suswam as they celebrate their birthdays today.

In a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, Ortom described Senator Ayu and Senator Suswam as true democrats and experienced administrators who have made numerous contributions for the development of Benue State.

He said the cordial relationship between him, Senator Ayu, Senator Suswam and other leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gave the party overwhelming victory in the 2019 elections and has continued to deepen internal democracy within its fold.

Governor Ortom ”commends Senator Ayu in particular for the role he recently played as Chairman of the State Transition Committee and urges him to continue to provide similar selfless services to the state and country whenever called upon.

”The Governor is also confident that Dr Suswam will bring his experience as a former member, House of Representatives to bear on his duties as the Senator for Benue North-East Senatorial District.

”He wishes the two leaders joyful birthday celebrations and prays God to continue to bless them,” the statement said.
