The family and friends of late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, widely known by her stage name Omije Ojumi, have announced the schedule for her final burial rites following her death on January 12 after a prolonged illness.
Before her passing, Akinnaanu had made public appeals for prayers and divine healing as she battled the ailment, drawing support and sympathy from fans and colleagues within the gospel music community.

The burial arrangements were disclosed by fellow gospel singer Alayo Melody via an Instagram post, accompanied by a flier outlining the programme of events.
According to the schedule, the burial activities will begin on Tuesday, January 20, with a service of songs at the LTV 8 Ground in Ikeja, Lagos. This will be followed by a candlelight procession and a tribute night in honour of the late singer.

The interment will take place on Wednesday, January 21, and will be conducted privately, restricted to family members and close associates.
Omije Ojumi rose to prominence with her popular gospel song of the same title, which earned her recognition and a loyal following. Notably, she left a career in banking to pursue gospel music full-time, a decision that defined her legacy of faith-driven artistry.
Her passing has continued to attract tributes from fans and fellow gospel artistes, who remember her for her powerful voice, devotion, and impact on gospel music in Nigeria.
