In her continued efforts at impacting the lives of the populace and expanding her philanthropic activities, Hon. Fateemah Mohammed has brought joy and happiness into the lives of those who never believed their fate could suddenly turn around for the better just by chanced meeting of one woman.
Aside from the numerous projects she had executed in her Ifako Ijaye constituency, the large hearted woman recently made a group of people smile at Radisson Hotel, Ikeja when she hosted children and their parents to an elaborate lunch.
Unknown to them, who thought they were going to eat and dine alone, the honourable had a surprise waiting for them.
One of the parents narrated her story:
How do i say this? As promised, she kept her words by hosting us to a treat i would term #AnExperience at #Radisson Hotel, Ikeja G.R.A.
It was a moment indescribable, undeniably the best so far in a very long time. The kids were awed by the environment, while their parents were amazed at the whole thing. The dish was a class on its own, this is what they call serve yourself, unlike what we do have around with limitations. Not minding the number of times you get up to get your plate filled.
On the dining with us was dignitaries from various walks of life who had come to have a first hand experience of what she had done and accomplished. It was a moment better not to be told but to be experienced.
The kids and parents couldn’t hide their emotions as they all took turn to pour her encomium and prayers. Wishing her a successful stride in her political-economic endeavours. Like she have always been, she directed all the encomium and prayers to God who had fitted her in such position and platform in helping people who are less privileged.
As if that wasn’t enough, she extended the scholarship to include a guy who had a tie with the runner up with 249. She felt it would be a disservice if one got the slot just because he saw his result first ahead of the other.
While discussion was going on, some guys came in who had been directed by the Hon to pay off school fees of some kids, who were earlier placed on scholarship. These are just a glimpse of the numerous wonderful deeds of Hon Fateemah Aduke Muhammed.
The very essence of this narrative is to set a trajectory for other politicians withing and outside Ifako-ijaiye, that the success of any society rest on the shoulders of educated youths, else what will ensure is a collapse of the system.
For me as the Dir. Of Education, i must sincerely appreciate our Honourable in person of Fatee Mohameed for her grandstanding gestures towards Ifako-ijaiye youths in general. Also to the parents for birthing and nurturing good and wonderful kids whose height aren’t fathomable, and to everyone who out of tight schedule still found time to honour this day, we sag may the good Lord richly and mightily bless you all.
