Arsenal and England forward Bukayo Saka has sparked reactions online after revealing that he had never heard of global music icon Celine Dion.
The moment occurred during a relaxed conversation with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems on Arsenal FC’s newly launched entertainment show, The Link Up.

During the chat, Saka asked Tems about the musicians who influenced her early career. When the singer mentioned Dion as one of her inspirations, the football star appeared surprised.
“I don’t know who that is,” Saka said with a laugh.

Tems, clearly shocked by the response, reacted with amusement.
“You don’t know who Celine Dion is? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh,” she replied.
The exchange quickly drew attention from fans, many of whom found the moment humorous given Dion’s legendary status in global music.
At 24, Saka belongs to a younger generation that may not have been widely exposed to Dion’s music, which dominated international charts in the 1990s and early 2000s.
The Canadian superstar, known for timeless hits such as My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me, has sold more than 200 million records worldwide and remains one of the best-selling music artists in history.
Despite the light-hearted moment, the conversation highlighted the intersection of sports and music culture, with Saka and Tems sharing insights into their different worlds during the interview.
