The singer is believed to have welcomed her twins, with her dad Mathew Knowles confirming the news on social media.
Sources are now saying that a ‘minor issue has surfaced’ that has kept the twins in hospital for almost a week.
TMZ is reporting that ‘doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them’ at this time, and that Beyonce is also still at the hospital.
‘As far as we know she’s okay. The babies are expected to be okay as well,’ they add.
Despite Mathew’s proud granddad tweet, neither Beyonce or her husband Jay Z have confirmed the birth. Their names and genders are also being kept under wraps.
On Sunday US media began reporting that the Drunk In Love singer had given birth, and speculated that the kids are a boy and a girl.
People said that Bey and Jay, who are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – are ‘thrilled’ at the new additions to their family.
Beyonce announced her pregnancy back in February with a brilliantly OTT photoshoot.
The iconic image showed a kneeling Yonce, wearing shorts and a green veil and surrounded by flowers, cradling her stomach.
She said: ‘We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.’
