Speaking through Prof. Ola Olateju at a recent African Democratic Congress (ADC) event in Lagos, Atiku emphasized that national progress, not personal ambition, drives his political involvement.

Represented at the defection ceremony by Olateju, Atiku’s message focused on transforming Nigeria’s political landscape.
“It’s not about him being president. It’s about establishing a government that works for Nigerians,” Olateju said on his behalf.

The event welcomed prominent political figures from the PDP and Labour Party, signaling a shift towards a more inclusive and transparent political process.
New members included Dr. Abimbola Ogunkelu, Chief Muritala Ashorobi, Capt. Tunji Shelle, and Mr. Tai Benedict, all joining the ADC to push for real change.

“Whoever emerges through a free and fair process will have our full support. The focus is about the best candidate representing the hopes of Nigerians.”
