Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state made headlines yesterday after he threatened to leave his party, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) because his choice candidate for the PDP presidential primaries, Aminu Tambuwal didn’t get the ticket.
There were some speculations that the out-going governor might be leaving for the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress(APC). However, the governor in a text message to reporters on Tuesday night, made it clear he would never have anything to the with the APC>
“APC my foot! I will never have anything to do with APC, for the party’s leaders to be saying that Fayose is coming to APC amounts to unnecessary dissipation of their energy.
“I will never ever come to APC and will never ever have anything to do with the party.”
