ALEBIOSU HAILS OLAYINKA’S DEPLOYMENT AS STRATEGIC FOR WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT
The Lagos State Government has further demonstrated its commitment to driving sustainable growth and infrastructural excellence across its waterfront corridors with the deployment of ESV Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka as the new Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development.
Speaking on the redeployment, the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Ekundayo (Dayo Bush) Alebiosu, described it as a strategic move by the State Government to strengthen institutional capacity in line with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s vision of a Greater Lagos.
“The deployment of ESV Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development is a reflection of Mr. Governor’s commitment to excellence. The State has effectively merged two seasoned professionals, a dynamic architecht/strategist and a distinguished technocrat, to further expand the frontiers of waterfront infrastructure, asset optimization, and sustainable coastal development across Lagos State,” Alebiosu stated.
ESV Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka brings an outstanding academic and professional background to the role. He holds degrees in Estate Management, Law, Construction Management, and Town and Regional Planning from renowned institutions, including Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Lagos, and Yaba College of Technology. A Fellow of multiple professional bodies  including the Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Institute of Arbitration, and Nigerian Institute of Corporate Managers, he has played a pivotal role in landmark initiatives such as the Lands Bureau’s Regularisation Directorate, the Fair Market Value Framework for land and building, and the Electronic Certificate of Occupancy (e-C of O) system.
His appointment marks a new phase for the Ministry as it continues to expand the State’s waterfront infrastructure, curb illegal land reclamation, and enhance the blue economy for long-term economic sustainability.
“You can count on the full cooperation of the entire Ministry as we join hands to deliver on Mr. Governor’s vision for a resilient and sustainable waterfront. I’m confident that your experience and leadership will further energize our team and the great work we’ve begun,” Alebiosu concluded.
In his response, Olayinka encouraged staff members to remain loyal, dedicated, and aligned with the vision of the Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon.Dayo Bush- Alebiosu emphasizing the importance of teamwork and harmony in the workplace.
This working together brings two visionaries with shared passion for excellence whose combined expertise is expected to yield innovative solutions and impactful results.
