Executives of the Lagos Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) have paid a courtesy visit to Vintage Press Limited, publishers of The Nation Newspaper, SportingLife, and Gbelegbo Newspaper, in a bid to strengthen collaboration between the film industry and the media.
The AGN delegation was led by the acting chairman of the Lagos chapter, Mary Ikubuwaje, popularly known as Erelu Mary. Other executives who joined the visit included MC Senator, Tunde Shado, and Cornel Udofia.

The delegation was received by the Editor of The Nation (Daily), Adeniyi Adesina, alongside the Group Entertainment Editor, Gbenga Bada, Online Editor Olawale Akinola, and members of the organisation’s entertainment desk.
During the meeting, the AGN Lagos leadership expressed its desire to build a stronger working relationship with the media organisation, noting the important role of the press in promoting the activities of actors and the growth of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The guild’s representatives pledged to maintain a cordial relationship with the media house while ensuring consistent engagement and information sharing on activities within the Lagos chapter.
Responding, Adesina assured the visiting executives of continued support from Vintage Press Limited, commending the AGN leadership for initiating the visit.
He also encouraged the guild to continue using entertainment as a tool for educating the public while promoting professionalism within the industry.
Adesina further urged aspiring actors who are yet to register with the professional body to do so, stressing that membership of the guild provides opportunities for career development and inclusion within the industry.
