Celebrity Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has issued a legal warning to singer Seyi Vibez over social media publications she claims are defamatory.

The development comes amid an ongoing online dispute involving music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper, and some of his former artistes.

In a letter issued on Thursday, August 20, 2026, Baci’s legal representatives demanded that Seyi Vibez immediately remove the disputed posts from his social media platforms.

The lawyers also demanded a public apology and retraction over the alleged defamatory statements.

The controversy reportedly intensified during a wider dispute involving former Dapper Music artistes, including Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and T.I Blaze, who have raised allegations concerning royalties and financial dealings linked to their former record label.

During the online exchange, Seyi Vibez directed comments at Baci, who is romantically linked to Dapper.

Among the claims attributed to the singer was an allegation that Dapper used catalogue funds to finance Baci’s cosmetic surgery.

He also made a separate claim relating to food prepared by the celebrity chef.

Baci has denied the allegations, while her lawyers described the publications as libellous and defamatory.

In the legal demand, her representatives called on Seyi Vibez to permanently delete the disputed posts and remove any related statements, comments, images, videos and reposts.

The singer was also asked to publish a prominent public apology and retraction across his social media platforms.

According to the letter, Seyi Vibez has three days from the date he receives it to provide a written undertaking that he will cease publishing or communicating what Baci’s lawyers consider defamatory material about their client.

The legal warning adds a new dimension to a controversy that has so far played out largely on social media, with allegations and counter-allegations involving several prominent figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The wider dispute centres on Dapper and allegations made by some former artistes regarding royalties and financial arrangements. The claims remain disputed.

Baci’s decision to issue a legal warning signals an attempt to move the matter from social media exchanges into formal legal proceedings.

The celebrity chef has established a significant public profile through her culinary career and social media activities, making the allegations potentially damaging to her reputation.

As of the time of filing this report, there was no indication that Seyi Vibez had accepted the demands or issued the requested apology and retraction.
