Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has sparked conversation with his unconventional view on paternity disputes, saying he would still accept and raise a child even if a DNA test proves he is not the biological father.
The actor made the remarks during an interview on BBC Yoruba, where he discussed issues surrounding family, relationships and responsibility.

According to Salami, emotional bonds with a child could outweigh biological ties.
“If DNA says a child is not mine and I already see the child as mine, I will accept the child,” he said.

However, the actor admitted that he could not predict how he would react towards his wife if such a situation were to occur.
In the same interview, Salami also reflected on the sudden death of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola.
He said her passing was a reminder that life’s timing ultimately rests beyond human control.
Salami noted that conditions such as cardiac arrest can affect anyone regardless of lifestyle or health habits, adding that the late actress had been making efforts to manage her asthma before her death.
His remarks have since stirred conversations online, particularly around issues of fatherhood, paternity testing and responsibility in modern families.
