Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Burna Boy and Asake have been confirmed as headliners for the Afro Nation 2026 festival scheduled to hold in Portugal.

The organisers unveiled the much-anticipated lineup in a post shared on X, showcasing a blend of top Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and amapiano stars set to light up the global music festival.
“PHASE 3 IS HERE. Legacy energy meets Afro Nation debuts. This is the sound of a summer taking shape,” the organisers wrote while announcing the lineup.

The three-day festival will take place from July 3 to July 5, 2026, at the iconic Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal.
According to the schedule, Burna Boy will open the festival on July 3, sharing the stage with South African sensation Tyla. Asake will headline the second day on July 4, while Wizkid will close the festival on July 5.
The 2026 edition will also feature American R&B star Kehlani and rapper Gunna as special guest performers, further boosting the international appeal of the event.
Several Nigerian artistes are also billed to perform, including Olamide, Young Jonn, Darkoo, Wande Coal and Mavo, among others.
Organisers announced that Early Access tickets will go on sale on February 5 at 10:00 AM GMT.
Afro Nation is one of the world’s biggest celebrations of African music and culture. The festival’s 2025 edition featured prominent Nigerian stars such as Burna Boy, Davido, Tems and Qing Madi, raising expectations for an even bigger showcase in 2026.
