Jigawa Police Arrests Three Suspected Thieves For Stealing Sheep

Jigawa State Police Command has arrested three suspected thieves for stealing a sheep in Babura Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, November 10, 2023, said the suspects stole the sheep from the house of one Mustapha Dahiru of Baskwar village.

“On 05/11/2023 at about 0830hrs, one Mustapha Dahiru ‘m’ age 27yrs of Baskwar village Babura LGA, reported at the station that, on the same date at about 0330hrs, unknown persons trespassed into his house and stole away his sheep,” the statement read.

“On receipt of the report, Policemen on patrol were detailed. Fortunately, one Isah Musa ‘m’ age 20yrs, one Sa’idu Bello ‘m’ age 21yrs all of Baskwar village Babura LGA and one Ibrahim Muhammad ‘m’ age 18yrs of Gidan Mutum Daya village Katsina state were arrested in possession of the said sheep.

“The suspects were taken to the Divisional Crime Branch (DCB) for investigation.

“On investigation, the suspects confessed to have conspired and trespassed into the house of the complainant and stole his sheep.”
