The Gofundme set up to support popular Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo. Popularly known as Sunday, Igboho has now reached £31,470, equivalent to N16.4 Million as of the time of writing this report.
The fundraiser target for the Fulani fighter is n52.3 million, which was set up by Maureen Badejo after Sunday sent an evacuation date to Fulani herders men grazing in Oyo, the capital city of Ibadan.
Following the alleged killings, rape, and kidnapping of the herders in the state, Sunday issued a warning to them to vacate the land.
Igboho further takes his fight against Fulani-herdsmen to Ogun state, where he was welcomed by the traditional rulers of the state.
Yoruba’s in the diaspora, in a bid to help the Yoruba activists reclaim the Yorubalan from perpetrating Herdsmen, raised a Gofund account for him to help him purchase buses.
“They need buses to move around to secure our ancestral land. Our security is threatened as we speak. It seems people in a position of authority are helpless,” a quote on the account said.
One of the donators, Kehinde Akinboyewa, who gave £250, said;
“No cause can be more just than this battle for the soul of the Yoruba Nation. Strong message to the Fulani terrorists and their enablers in high places, that though we’re thousands of miles away from home, we’ll stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in Yoruba land. The push back has begun in earnest; wanting to live in peace in your own home can’t be asking for too much!”
Recall that Metronews reported that the activist said he does not need the donation.
