In what seems like a typical Chiwetalu Agu Nollywood movie scene, people shuddered in utter amazement and jitters sent down the spine of many onlookers who could barely believe the dramatic scene at Itigidi, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State as a well known man of God and General Overseer of Paul’s Ministries, Prophet Paul Abam, was caught red-handed in the act, burying charms in someone’s compound.
The prophet who committed this heinous act of satanic proportion was said to be a Pastor in a well known Orthodox Church in the neighbouring town of Ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area before he broke ranks with the orthodox church, and moved to Itigidi to open his own ministry.
As matter of fact, Prophet Paul Abam’s Ministries grew and waxed strong in Itigidi, and was specially known for the miracles, signs and wonders attributed to the the man of God.
However, nemesis caught up with the wolf in sheep’s clothing, Prophet Paul Abam, when he trespassed into someone’s compound to bury some charms and was caught. His action was deemed a taboo according to the traditions of Itigidi.
Consequently, the General Overseer of Paul’s Ministries was severely chastised and disgracefully paraded all around Itigidi according to their traditions, to serve as a warning to others who may want to indulge in such heinous act of wickedness.
The “Miracle Pastor” as he is popularly known in Cross River State was said to have been identified by an unnamed native of Itigidi who saw and recognized him while he was burying the charms in his victim’s compound. The man raised alarm, and Pastor Abam was cought, and shamefully paraded around Itigidi.
According to an eyewitness, Prophet Paul Abam was stripped off his clothes and covered with leaves, as he was made to carry the charms he was caught burying in someone’s building. The eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said:
“Yes, we caught the General Overseer of Paul’s Ministries, Prophet Paul Abam in Itigidi while he was burying charms in someone’s compound, and he was delt with according to our traditions in other to deter other people like him.” The eyewitness said.
