I’d followed the groundbreaking support for continuity in Lagos, which therefore throws up a very good chance for Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, candidate of the APC or suggests that he is the candidate to beat.
Good as that is especially that Mr. Sanwo-Olu is in a place of huge advantage as candidate of the ruling party, what makes this election his to lose is not because he is more qualified than his closest rival, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, it’s because he has worked really hard to win the election this Saturday. He’s taken nothing for granted.
Sanwo-Olu started the race even before the whistle was blown. He’s been everywhere. He’s been campaigning as if his life depends on it. He has shown to desire that office genuinely and that he would not let his promoters down.
If hard work pays like we were taught from childhood, Sanwo-Olu should be encouraged for standing up to be counted. He truly does deserve victory on Saturday.
