A baby fell to his death after his mother lost her balance in high heels and dropped him from a balcony.
He was reported to have suffered spinal injuries and died before he could be taken to the hospital.
Police were called to the scene and later ruled out any foul play, ruling the baby’s death an accident.
Femida Shaikh, 23, was attending a wedding in the city of Kaylan near Mumbai in India, with her six-month-old son, Mohammed, but she was not able to walk properly in her footwear.
Assistant police inspector, Vijay Khedekar, said, “We immediately reached the spot after the incident and took the baby to hospital, where he was declared dead.
“The woman and her relatives have narrated the incident.
“We have registered an Accidental Death Report in the matter and handed over the body to the family.”
