The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has explained that 111,981 2018 UTME results withheld were still undergoing screening.

JAMB Head of Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin, assured that the board would soon make its findings public.

“There is no information on the withheld results as I speak with you. But we are working on them,” he told DAILY POST on Tuesday.

Reminded that affected candidates are anxious and have been asking questions, the spokesman appealed to them to exercise a little more patience.

“We understand this. Please call me next week, we should have an update,” Benjamin added.

JAMB had said that the results were withheld for “further screening” while it had released 1,502,978 results.

“After viewing all CCTV footages during the conduct of the 2018 UTME and considering reports from our supervisors, monitors and other independent Nigerians, JAMB has released the results of 1,502,978 candidates.

“Also, 112,331 results have yet to be released out of which 350 are the results of visually impaired candidates which will be released soon and 111,981 results withheld for further screening.

“The figure above excludes foreign candidates whose examination will be conducted in April”.

The exam body recently announced the release of the final batch of the 2018 UTME result.
